Telepace Studio is used for developing, debugging and downloading ladder logic code to SCADAPack Smart RTUs. It allows for both online and offline code development and provides local and remote access to the process by utilizing intranet and Internet technologies. It also provides diagnostic and configuration tools, including an integrated firmware loader, as well as custom functions for SCADA-specific applications. Telepace Studio allows engineers to quickly develop digital and analog sequences, create data logs, configure PID process control, calculate flow totals and perform communication functions.
The SCADAPack firmware reserves space in NVRAM for the I/O database, roughly 42kB of memory. This I/O database is the Modbus register map. These registers are used to store function block configuration, calculation values and provide a bit of memory to work with practically in your Telepace and C programs. Using removable USB storage such as Flash memory sticks, SCADAPack 300-Series controllers can now provide easily configured and accessible data logs using the alternate methods of logging to internal memory or to external mass storage devices.In addition to logging data to a pre-connected USB mass storage device directly, this new feature also allows for automatic transfer of logged files on internal memory when a USB stick is inserted in the controller.In systems requiring high power efficiency, the USB port is powered-down and the data is first logged directly to controller RAM.
