This Lenten season, we're inviting you to join us at Springfield Baptist Church for something meaningful, a chance to lean into God's grace and release whatever's been weighing down your faith. We'll walk this journey together through daily devotionals, guided journaling, and our annual Lenten Guide.
This year at SBC, Lent isn't just something we observe, it's a journey we're taking together. We're going to explore what it really means to lean into God's grace and let go of the patterns, pressures, and perspectives that keep us stuck spiritually.
Our Lenten focus centers on the devotional Leaning In, Letting Go by Nicole Massie Martin, along with a guided Reflection Journal and our Annual Lenten Guide. Each of these resources is designed to help you move through these 40 days with intention, clarity, and real spiritual growth.
The Lent Challenge
We're asking every member to fully embrace this journey by committing to:
Reading the daily devotional Leaning In, Letting Go for 40 days-A Lenten Devotional
Completing daily reflections in the Reflection Journal
Participating in the 40 Days of Lent activities from our Annual Lenten Guide
This is more than just a reading plan, it's about growing together, staying accountable to one another, and experiencing real transformation.

Pastor Lee has issued an invitation to all our young adults 18-35 years old to join a specially created group- The 300 - to explore this lenten season together. The 300 is for those who understand that faith often grows in the space between struggle and surrender. During Lent, we will examine what it means to hold trust and uncertainty, healing and honesty, discipline and grace, all at once.
We’ll meet virtually each week, communicate throughout the season via message group, and every participant will receive a free copy of Leaning In and Letting Go. Members will also receive invitations to special events designed to deepen community and spiritual reflection.
If you’re seeking a space for thoughtful conversation and mature spiritual growth, we invite you to be part of The 300.
Sign up today through the registration link to reserve your place in the group.
