Dr Sayani Das
Sayani is an anthropologist specializing in Geriatric Health. She holds a PhD (2023) from the University of Calcutta, India, and an MPhil (2017) from the University of Delhi, India. Her research interests include holistic health, geriatric epidemiology, and frailty syndrome. Her work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Gerontology, Asian Journal of Psychiatry, Aging International, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and more.
Since 2024, Sayani has been working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Social Work, Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
Formerly she worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR)- Delhi (2022-2024), and as a Consultant at the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (2020-2022), Government of India.
She also worked at the Indian Statistical Institute-Kolkata as a Senior Research Fellow (2017-2020).
