Prospective Students

I am looking for 1 or 2 PhD students to work with me on Clustering type problems. If you are already at PSU and interested in working with me, please feel free to contact me directly. If you are not yet at PSU and are interested in working with me, I would encourage applying to our PhD program and mentioning my name. Preferences will be given to students who have one or more of the following experiences or skills:

• Completion of Master's or Bachelor's Thesis in an area of algorithms

• Completion of advanced theory courses, such as  Approximation Algorithms, Randomized Algorithms, Computational Complexity, Computational Geometry

• Publication in a theory conference

• Proficiency in mathematics, in particular in areas, such as Discrete math, Probability, Algebra, Geometry

• Participation in coding contests such as ICPC

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in scholarly writing
