Thank You for Being Here
Save Our Science is a grassroots effort led by Californians deeply concerned about the future of science and public higher education. We invite all who share this concern to join us in protecting California’s public research, teaching, and clinical care in the face of federal funding cuts.
In partnership with faculty, lecturers, researchers, students, staff, alumni, and community partners, Save Our Science helped form the UC SOS Coalition to defend academic freedom, clinical freedom, and the UC public good. Together, we stand united against agreements with the federal government that threaten employment, healthcare access, community diversity, student speech, or academic freedom at the UC.
Our calls to action are open to faculty, lecturers, researchers, students, staff, alumni, and community partners committed to defending academic freedom, clinical freedom, and the UC public good. If we have not yet connected with you, please know it is not intentional. We encourage you to collaborate by sharing resources, amplifying messages, attending upcoming actions, and bringing forward ideas for how we can strengthen this movement together.
We welcome your questions, concerns, and ideas. Please email us at SaveOurScienceInitiative@gmail.com.

Feasible: California is the 4th largest economy in the world; we can fund UC without relying on unstable federal sources.
Necessary: Every $1 invested in UC returns $21 to our economy.
Inclusive: This fight is for research, teaching, and community service for all Californians.
