Thank you, Savannah!

You all showed up big time, with enthusiasm, creativity, and no small amount of fun.

We enjoyed every second of it and hope you did too. Stay tuned for news on the Krewe's next parade, and plan on attending the second Slithering on March 16, 2023!

Meantime, enjoy these beautiful photos of the event by local journalist Bill Dawers.

Sssssee you next time!

Come Slither with Us!

Centuries ago, St. Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland. They have been wandering the icy Atlantic depths and will finally emerge in the streets as illuminated lanterns.

Please join the Krewe of the Humble Hedonists for Savannah's inaugural lantern parade!

We're hosting this Mardi Gras-style, DIY walking parade to have fun for fun's sake.

We'll have musicians walking along with the parade to put a little extra slither in your step, too!

The only rule is that you must participate, which means you'll need a serpent-themed lantern. Make your own, or join us for one of multiple workshops in the weeks before the parade to get help with your lantern. More on workshops here.

This event is for all ages, and there is no cost to be in the parade (though we are asking for donations at the lantern workshops to cover supplies, which we will provide).

We can't wait to ssssee you at the Savannah Slithering! Ssssslainte!

Come as you are, but we're especially excited to see Druids, Lizard People, Snake Charmers, Pagans and Weirdos of all stripes. Illumination preferred, and may we suggest black and/or green clothing?
