Research and Conservation Lab 

We bridge the gap between zoos and the wild by investigating individual variation, microevolution, and plasticity in wildlife. Our research lab at African Lion Safari, led by Dr. Drew Sauve and Dr. Amy Chabot, combines applied and basic research across diverse fields. We conduct research on behaviour, physiology, genetics, reproduction, and health to address conservation challenges.
