I am a graduate student at IISc, and I joined in August 2022. I come from a background with a formal education in physics and mathematics. And I do physics inspired by biology and making things measurable, which are merely defined qualitatively.
Physics has defined framework pretty well at all scales in space and time (fundamentally), but things can quickly become complex when one is interested at the cellular level. However, underlying unified laws within the complexity drive me to study and prepare the physical models.
Right now, I am interested in understanding the transport on the cell membrane where the transport of a molecule is dependent on the local distribution of other molecules, the local curvature of the membrane, and time-dependent interactions, which make the problem physically exciting and challenging.
