Overview

I am a second year MS in CS student at Stanford University specialising in AI. Prior to Stanford, I did my undergraduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) where I received a BTech with Honors in Computer Science and Engineering. I am currently interested in machine learning and deep learning theory, and in particular, in working on a guided search for artificially intelligent systems and reasoning for their expected behavior. That is, using theory to understand the current techniques and motivate the development of new techniques.

I have previously worked on understanding how training techniques and modelling affect neural network behaviour and the theoretical limits we can reach. Most recently, I have been working on investigating differences in performance between pre-training and meta learning in multi-task learning settings. I extended our study to language models by modelling LLM training as a few-shot learning task.

I like to play tennis and social dance during my free time.
