I am a researcher at Toyota Central R&D Labs. Now I am working as a visiting scholar at UCSD at San Diego, CA, in the United States (collaborating with Prof. Julian McAuley). I have recieved my PhD degree (informatics) from Nagoya University in 2020, supervised by Prof. Yoshiharu Ishikawa. I have been working in fields such as database systems, information retrieval, and machine learning.

2025-08-07: A conference paper "LaViC: Adapting Large Vision-Language Models to Visually-Aware Conversational Recommendation" is now published and presented in the ACM KDD 2025 conference. This is a joint work with Hyunsik Jeon, Yu Wang, and Julian McAuley.
2025-04-10: A journal paper "Impact of Tone-Aware Explanations in Recommender Systems" is published in ACM TORS. This is a joint work with Ayano Okoso, Keisuke Otaki, and Yukino Baba.
2024-06-24: A journal paper "High-Dimensional Slider-Based Preferential Bayesian Optimization With Mixed Local and Global Acquisition Strategies" is published in IEEE Access.
