Sathorn: According to the Act on the Maintenance of the Cleanliness and Orderliness of the Country B.E. 1992 section 31 (2) and section 54, no one drop refuse or waste in the public establishment outside the container or the place arranged for such purpose by the local administration. Violators will be fined not exceeding 2,000 THB.
People should to waste segregation before discarding. To avoid contamination from food scrap or other things left after the cleaning and dry wastecan be recycled. As you can see in above, they are not do that. Most of them think it is not important to do.
This law has no serious punishment. Many Thai people are not aware of itand neglect the law. That is a bad habit. Even though district official announces and mention about punishment. But the violators are not ignored like they are not do something wrong. Violators should to break the ice by and the penalty should more fined 2,000 THB.
