Failure of using pavement

Sathorn: Footpath was made for people to walk comfortably and without fear of crashing into cars. Nowadays, the footpath has become a way for people to think about it if they will hit a motorcycle or not because there are many people who break the rules by driving on the footpath without fearless the laws. People who ride motorcycles on sidewalks don't care about the pedestrians’ safety. A lot of people could be harmed by their illegal driving.

Nowadays, most people use vehicles especially motorcycles, because it is convenient and fast to drive anywhere. They can ride on a narrow path and not even the footpath.

There is a strict law for motorcycling on the pavement that leads into be a trouble and harms pedestrians. There are fined totally 44,000,000 baht since 2019, but the breaking law still happens continuously.

Driving a motorbike on the pavement must be illegal – no prizes for guessing that. It’s an offence that is covered by the Land Traffic Act 1979, which provides for fines from ฿400 to ฿1,000.
