About Satishkumar Chavan:
Satishkumar S. Chavan received B.E. Degree in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India in 1998 and M.Tech. Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad, Maharashtra, India in 2004. He received Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, Maharashtra, India in April 2018.
Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai - 400 056. He handled resposibilities as Dean of Academics, Head of Department (EXTC and IT) during his tenure of 20 years in Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He was a Branch Counsellor for DBIT IEEE Student Chapter (January 2005-December 2010) and CSI Student Chapter (January 2011- June 2013).
Dr. Chavan has published 15+ peer reviewed journal papers and 50+ national/international conference papers. He is reviewer of many reputed journals from Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Inderscience publications.
He is a Life member of professional bodies including the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Computer Society of India (CSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Association of Medical Physics of India (AMPI), and member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and National Digital Library of India (NDLI).
His research interests include signal, image and video processing, computer vision, medical image analysis, speech processing, machine learning, deep learning, etc.
