Another area of active interest includes natural product chemistry. Natural products represent the richest source of novel molecular scaffolds and chemistry. It is hard to predict in advance, the details of how a natural product will interact with the myriad of targets that we now know drive fundamental biological processes. Natural product isolation by activity directed fractionation and structural elucidation remain an important area of research in our lab.

Our group has contributed in the area of medicinal chemistry (including natural products) and utilized hybridization approach carefully to design entities, embodying important pharmacophores which have drawn considerable visibility both nationally and internationally.
