This final project revolves around tying human senses to a space. Inspired by a study of architectural concepts and a project done before the final project, the Naiads Quest is a lotus-shaped pavilion. The model is based on the skeleton of the petals. In this space, you weave through the petals, taking you through different soundscapes with different materials. The project took a month to conceptualize and build, along with three drawings drawn to scale, with the idea in mind that the space would be 15ftx15ftx15ft.

The model above is inspired by Lana Bo Bardi's concept of Casa De Vidro. The build is an abstract representation of the tree that goes through the middle of the house, as seen below. This project's toothpick and triangular technique was transferred into the Naiads Quest modeling process.
The Naiad's Quest is a project in which one travels through the bones of a lotus. Weaving through the space and getting through the center creates a sense of awareness of how sound shifts as you move to the center. There is also a sense of enclosure, creating comfort as you move through the petals. The sound is supposed to be muted but still with the natural airflow. In a real space, materials would be added to the bones of the petals, adding texture to isolate sound. The lotus represents zen, and as one weaves through the space naturally, the grounding process of natural movement and sound is supposed to create tranquility.
