Introduction

In present time, home and office security as become very important. In our absence, these places are not secure. To make these places secure people prefer to keep guards or think of electronic systems. At present, many types of security systems are available but are available separately and are relatively costly. I have come up with an all in one home security system with phone control and live streaming agility. I have tried this system in a model home, made using foam sheet to display how it works.

Features of the system

  • Live streaming agility

  • Password security for your home

  • Phone messaging alert

  • Beeping and Lights turn on if any motion is sensed in the absence of the owner

  • Cheap and reasonable

  • RFID Scanning technology

Working of the system

  • The owner while exiting the premises will have to set the password lock through the keypad. The LCD screen will act as the interface and once its locked, the system gets armed.

  • PIR Sensors and Ultrasonic sensors are attached in the corners of different rooms or areas of the premises. Any spot if any kind of motion is sensed, the alarm goes off and an SMS to the owner's mobile phone will be sent ASAP.

  • If the entry is made through the front door, the reed switch will be turned off and again the alarm will go off. SMS sent to the owner's phone will be specific about where exactly the intrusion has taken place.

  • Lights and beep will turn on while the alarm goes off.

  • Apart from these, the owner is given with a feature of seeing what's actually happening within the premises.

  • Specialty of this system is that it uses a relatively old smartphone as a camera. Advantages of this phone camera over other costlier professional camera's available in the market include, enabling the owner to turn on the phone flashlight remotely, through his phone, Being able to talk to the person inside the premises during intrusion, motion detection etc. All this is possible by an app which I discovered and had it installed in the client as well as the owner phone.

Making of the project

This would remain as one of the most memorable projects because I learnt a lot from this project after which I was somewhat enabled to think in a higher scale. I would like to thank my school Sharada Vidyanikethana for the support and encouragement the had given me while making this project. I also thank my parents without whom even thinking of doing such projects would be difficult. Thanks to my friend Keerthi for helping me out in building the project and also supporting me at the time of the event
