Thought Tracking is a structure that encourages learners to put themselves in the shoes of a character, animal, figure, etc. and consider their needs, emotions, and situation.
Steps:
1. Familiarize your learners with the material (a story, a historical event, etc.) you wish to focus on in this exercise.
2. Assign each of your learners a role, or break your learners into groups and assign each group a role.
3. Walk through the story, event, etc. you're focusing on. At intervals, pause and ask one or more characters (your in-role learners) what they are thinking and feeling.
