2. Announce that you've brought a spotlight to class! This can be an actual (low-powered) flashlight or an imaginary "invisible" spotlight. Explain that when you direct your spotlight at a learner or group, it will be that learner/group's turn to share their thoughts, opinions, answers, moves, etc. with the class. When you shift the spotlight away from the learner/group, they must stop sharing and become a quiet, attentive audience for whoever the spotlight is on.
