Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad is an activity that encourages students to focus, get energized, and work on their powers of memory!

Steps:

1. Find or clear a large space for this activity. Ask your learners to form a large circle in the space. Everyone should be within their own personal space bubbles and facing the inside of the circle. Ensure that everyone is close enough to hear you!

2. Select a learner and ask them to name their favorite fruit (or, if you'd prefer, you can ask for something different, like an animal, color, shape, etc.). Then, ask the two learners to the first learner's right for their favorite fruits. All three fruits should be distinct. Once you have your three fruits, count off the remaining learners to determine which of the three fruits each will be. The fruit groups do not need to be even.

3. Explain that when you call out a fruit, all the learners playing that fruit need to walk across the circle to a new spot to mix the fruit salad! Try this a few times, reminding your learners of walking and respecting personal space as needed.

4. Challenge your learners by calling out two fruits at once and/or calling out a fruit that isn't in your fruit salad!
