This ongoing project funded by the St John's Foundation and supported by Bath and North East Somerset Local Authority seeks to support schools to address the persistent attainment gap in the region, with the overall aim to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. The project involved:

• a baseline evaluation of local need;

• a literature review of evidence of how schools can best support disadvantaged pupils;

• production of six 'what works' accessible and focused literature reviews for teachers;

• designing and training local school leaders to run Action Learning Sets for schools.
