She started as a copy editor and writer for internal Trailhead modules, developing engaging training for employees and partners on customer-centric discovery, account planning, objection handling, partner strategy, products, corporate messaging, and more. Over time, she advanced to lead the enablement creative services editorial team, managing editorial, accessibility, and branded learning reviews for primarily internal content. She worked across teams of designers, video producers, and other specialists to bring content to life while also leading innovative projects on resource sharing, team communication and rituals, job architecture, AI initiatives, team branding, and more. Whether shaping content, refining editorial standards, or ensuring learning materials were inclusive and accessible, Sarah helped make internal training smarter, sharper, and more impactful.

While earning her MFA in Design Criticism from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Sarah wrote her master’s thesis, DANSK DESIGNS: Reinventing the American Tabletop, 1954–1985. Her research explored the history, design language, and cultural impact of the iconic brand, resulting in a 102-page scholarly document, a conceptual progressive dinner party, and a presentation at the inaugural 2010 DxCrit Conference. For more of the story, check out the video of Sarah's conference presentation, Mad About Dansk.
Building on this expertise, Sarah’s article “Set for Transition: Dansk Designs’ Fjord Flatware” was published in the Spring 2011 issue of Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture. And since this story is ongoing, Sarah is currently assisting with a book about Dansk, continuing her connection with the brand’s timeless design and lasting cultural influence.
Sarah has tackled diverse freelance roles, blending creativity and strategy. For Resource/Ammirati (formerly Resource), she contributed to the XLNT award-winning Bush’s Beans Taste Texter project as a writer and taste consultant. Her work included taste testing, mapping protein and bean pairings, and scripting an engaging in-aisle grocery experience. Check out a video describing the project: Bush's Beans: Taste Texter.
At the creative agency Real Art, Sarah developed a character and environment for an interactive children’s game for Dayton Children’s Asthma Care Center. She also crafted ad and brochure copy and created a headline library for Sylvan Learning Centers, showcasing her versatility in creating impactful content across industries.
Sarah’s expertise in design and jewelry shines through her contributions to renowned publications and exhibitions. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in a fourth-generation jewelry business, Boris Litwin Jewelers, Sarah has reviewed books such as Nicolas Estrada’s New Rings, Aja Raden’s Stoned, and Jane Merrill’s I Love Those Earrings for the Gemological Institute of America’s Gems & Gemology journal.
Her review of Jasmine Rault’s Eileen Gray and the Design of Sapphic Modernism for Design and Culture Journal (July 2012) further reflects her thoughtful exploration of design and cultural intersections. Additionally, Sarah contributed to the exhibition catalog for Crafting Modernism: Mid-Century American Art & Design, curated by Jeannine Fallino at the Museum of Arts and Design. Her work captures the enduring connections between art, design, history, and culture.
