Using Python I built a SNAP Michigan Medical Expense Deduction calculator. In Michigan, if countable medical expenses exceed $35/month the SNAP household can receive a Standard Medical Deduction of $165/month. If countable medical expenses exceed $200/month, then the household can deduct the actual amount minus $35. To help learn JavaScript I rebuilt a version of the calculator using JS.
