This was the 1923 layout of Pepworth Station on the original alignment of Natal Mainline. Originally a single line, with Electric Train staff in operation to Daimana North (Danskraal) & Matiwane, up till the early 1960's. At that time came a new deviation and a new site of this station was moved 4km north, and the original station was then abandoned, along with Matiwane station. The new section between Danskraal North & Elandslaagte was Block Bells and Automatic Block Signals from the 1960's to the late 1980's, by then C.T.C. had taken over.
