This was the 1928 layout of Braeside Station on the new deviation from Boughton to Cedara (Aradec). Interesting fact to note that the platform was on the loop, even though the main road and railway houses were closer to the main line side of the station. By 1960 a new tunnel was built by-passing Town Hill, with a new station being built at Cedara, & a new Braeside signal cabin was built just 1.8km up the line from Braeside Station. Thereafter Braeside station closed and then the line was pulled up from Braeside Signal Cabin to the Old Cedara station, now known as Aradec. Braeside Signal Cabin lasted up until to the mid 1980's, as C.T.C. was then introduced on the Main Line.
