By 1966 the line was electrified, and Van Schoor Tokens replaced the Telegraph Order System, as traffic from the mines started to increase. By the 1960's C.T.C. had taken over from Kamfersdam to Postmasburg. Sishen station with signal cabin of 36 levers, and its small railway village survived up until 2005, when the expansion of the mine consumed the area.
