Located about halfway between Beaufort West and De Aar on the Cape Western Mainline. This station was equipped with Wrong Road signals and had a short Double line section to Verster to the South with Lock and Block working, and Single line section with Van Schoor tokens to Barnard in the North. It was also the junction for the long branch to Calvinia. This section of line was converted to C.T.C. and electrified in the early 1980's
