I'm Leonardo Santos. I'm a Physicist (Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, 2005-2008), and I have a Ph.D. in Applied Computing (Brazilian National Institute of Space Research - INPE, Brazil, 2011-2014). I have a permanent position as a researcher at the Brazilian National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN). In 2019 and 2020, I was at the Humboldt University of Berlin as a visiting researcher. I am a Professor in the Post-grad Program on Applied Computing at INPE and the Post-grad Program on Computer Science at UNIFESP. I am one of the founders of the research group "Mathematics - Climate, Environment, and Sustainability" in the Brazilian Applied Mathematics Society (SBMAC), and I led the group from 2016 to 2022. Currently, I hold a productivity grant from CNPq and projects funded by CNPq and FAPESP.
