VSA's Origin
VSA was founded by both Amy Nguyen & Davina Trinh. Their main goal was to bring Asian culture and diversity to Santiago's high school campus. Within starting the club, VSA was able to fundraise, bring Vietnamese games and cultural dances, as well as create a lasting impact by bringing Asian representation among school campus.

In the Santiago School Year of 2019-2020 (the first year of VSA), the club was able to:
Create a cultural dance and perform in the Multicultural Fair @ school as well as the Santiago Bollywood Duniya event + Sell BOBA :)
Fundraise Hello Panda and Hi-Chews for a donation to Rock Paper Scissors Foundation (see charity work in Opportunities of VSA)
Celebrate New Years playing Vietnamese gamble games (Bau Cua Tom Ca and Thien Len) w/ gambling candy
Promote Vietnamese and Asian culture through boba samples and snacks
Write homemade cards to send to orphanages in Vietnam

In the Santiago School Year of 2020-2021 (although there was Covid-19) the club was able to:
Create an environment where students can learn and surround themselves with Asian Culture
Participate in Santiago ASB's Equity Webinar
Host a College Webinar to help students hear about how previous CNUSD students got into UCs or Ivys
Host a Business Webinar to demonstrate how to start successful businesses, organizations, passion projects, or have an impact on the community
