I am a quantitatively oriented political scientist.
My 2019 journal articles have been published in Social Politics; Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties; Politics & Gender; América Latina Hoy; and European Politics and Society. They deal with the costs of voting, the gender gap in political representation, the voter profiles in the 2017 Chilean general elections, and the support for right- and left-wing populist parties. My former journal articles have been published in European Politics and Society; Revista Internacional de Sociología; Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas; Revista Española de Ciencia Política; and European Sociological Review; among others.
Political scientists should scientifically analyze the evolution of the political situation and share their research with a wider audience. I contribute actively to political blogs, newspapers and the mass media. My 2019 blog posts include over 20 pieces on the 2019 Spanish general, regional and European elections (17), the costs of voting (3), the 2019 Bolivian presidential elections (2), and populism (2). See also my 2018 blog posts on the gender gap in political representation (2), the preferences on educational linguistic policies in Catalonia (2), the collection of polling data (1), and populist support (1).
