By using our services through the mobile application Sanskrit Flash Cards ("App"), You agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, We will post those changes on this page so that You are always aware of what information We collect, how We use it, and under what circumstances We disclose it. If You do not agree with the policy, please do not continue to use or access the App.
1. Collection of Personally Identifiable Information
When you use Our App, Our server will collect the following information such as:
⦁ Location Information: When You use the App, we collect Your location data. If You permit the App to access Your location through the permission system used by Your mobile operating system, We may also collect the precise location of Your device when the App is running in the foreground or background. We may also derive Your approximate location from Your IP address.
⦁ Device Information: We may collect information about Your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, screen size, software and file names, unique device identifier, advertising identifiers, serial number, current time zone, and mobile network information.
⦁ App Usage Information: Information will be collected about your app usage, such as start/stop time of your app session, your current time zone, and your network connection type (e.g., WiFi, cellular).
⦁ Advertisement Display Information: We will also collect information about the ads served, viewed, or clicked on, such as the type of ad, where the ad was served, whether you clicked on it, and whether you visited the advertiser’s website or downloaded the advertiser’s app.
2. Use of Personal Information
2.1 The information we collect through our App may be used for the following purposes:
⦁ To provide Our services to You;
⦁ Internal record keeping;
⦁ To improve Our products and services;
⦁ To serve personalized advertisements based on your inferred interests and/or location.
2.2 We may use personal information to resolve disputes that may arise with the use of Our Services, help promote a safe service to all the Users of the App, measure consumer interest in our services, customize your experience, detect and protect Us against error, fraud and other criminal activity.
2.3 Your IP address is used to help identify You and to gather broad demographic information.
3. Sharing of Personal Information
3.1 We may disclose Your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process. We may disclose personal information to law enforcement offices, third party rights owners, or others in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our Privacy Policy; respond to claims that an advertisement, posting or other content violates the rights of a third party; or protect the rights, property or personal safety of our Users or the general public.
3.2 We do not disclose personal information about identifiable individuals to advertisers, but We may provide them with aggregate and/or anonymised information about our Users to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the information We have collected from You to enable Us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.
4. Choice/Opt-Out
If you decide that you do not want a personalized advertising experience, we will not process your personal data for this purpose. For example, we will not collect, use, or share your Android Advertising Identifier, your precise location data, or your demographic or interest information. However, we will still serve you contextual advertising -- ads targeted to the content of our App.
You can withdraw your consent to the personalized advertising experience, at any time, through your device settings. This can be done by enabling the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” setting in your Android device. The next time you use our App on that device, we will effectuate your withdrawal of consent, and we will no longer collect, use, share, or otherwise process personal data from that device to personalize your advertising experience.
Even if you do not consent to a personalized advertising experience, or you later withdraw such consent, we will still process your personal data when necessary to comply with law or to support our legitimate interests, as described below.
Legitimate Interests: We will process personal data as necessary to support our legitimate interests, but we will protect your privacy in doing so. For example, even if you do not consent to a personalized advertising experience, we will still:
⦁ Generate, collect, and use a short-lived advertising-specific ID for the purpose of frequency capping -- to prevent you from seeing the same contextual ad too many times.
⦁ Receive and use your IP address for purposes of detecting invalid clicks and other fraudulent activity.
