If you want a headset specifically described for swimming and water immersion, choose Sanpyl Swimming Headphones Underwater; if you need longer stated talk-and-music time and convenient controls for workouts or calls, choose Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7. For gaming, I’d lean toward Mingzhe for its stated 13-hour runtime and call-focused microphone features, while Sanpyl is the clearer pick for aquatic use. Neither sheet identifies a dedicated gaming mode or gaming-specific audio feature.
Sanpyl Swimming Headphones Underwater vs Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7 at a Glance
• Sanpyl’s biggest strength: IPX8 water protection and a fit designed for swimming and active movement. Its trade-off is a built-in 180mAh battery with no stated talk-or-playback runtime.
• Mingzhe’s biggest strength: a claimed up-to-13-hour talk-and-music runtime, plus controls for volume, tracks, and calls. Its trade-off is IPX7 protection rather than the IPX8 rating specified for Sanpyl.
• Sanpyl fit: people who want headphones explicitly intended for swimming, with earplugs and a stabilizing behind-the-ear design.
• Mingzhe fit: people who want a neckband for gym sessions, outdoor activity, and calls, and value a stated runtime and accessible controls.
• For gaming: Mingzhe has more stated call-related detail, but neither is described as a gaming headset or as having a gaming mode.
Sanpyl’s defining feature is its IPX8 water-protection rating and explicit swimming use case. Its silicone earplugs come in two sizes, and the soft, elastic band wraps behind the head. Rotating shark-fin pieces are designed to follow the ear’s contour and help hold the headset in place during movement. That combination makes it the more purpose-built choice here for swimming, running, or cycling.
It weighs about 55 grams and uses a built-in 180mAh lithium-ion battery. The listed Bluetooth version is 5.0. It also provides voice prompts for events such as pairing, connection, incoming calls, and low battery. Those prompts may help communicate basic headset status without relying on visual indicators.

I’d choose Sanpyl if swimming is a central use case and a secure, earplug-based fit matters. I’d skip it if a long, documented listening session is the priority: the supplied information gives the battery capacity but not an estimated playback or call time. It also does not specify gaming controls, a microphone performance figure, or a gaming-specific feature. So although it could serve as a general wireless headset, the available details don’t establish it as a gaming-focused option.
Mingzhe uses an in-ear design with a flexible neckband and an IPX7 protection rating. Its stated use cases include gym sessions and outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and cycling. The neckband format may suit someone who wants the main headset to rest around the neck between listening sessions, rather than using Sanpyl’s behind-the-head band and swimming-oriented earplug setup.
The most concrete advantage for extended use is its stated battery life: up to 13 hours of talk and music from a 150mAh lithium battery. It also has built-in controls for adjusting volume, changing tracks, and answering calls. The product information describes a noise-reduction microphone and noise-reduction features, but doesn’t give a measured noise-cancellation level or detailed sound specifications. Its listed connectivity language includes smartphones, tablets, laptops, and TVs.
For gaming, the mention of laptops and a noise-reduction microphone makes Mingzhe the more plausible fit of the two for casual voice chat. That is a cautious conclusion, not a guarantee of low latency or gaming compatibility in every setup: neither low-latency performance nor a dedicated gaming mode is specified. I’d pass if swimming is the main purpose, since Mingzhe is presented as sweatproof and IPX7-rated rather than as the swimming-specific option.
• Best for swimming → Sanpyl Swimming Headphones Underwater. Its IPX8 rating and explicit swimming purpose make the choice straightforward for aquatic use.
• Best for a stated long runtime → Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7. It specifies up to 13 hours of talk and music; Sanpyl’s sheet lists battery capacity but no operating-time estimate.
• Best for adjustable, easy-reach controls → Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7. Its listed controls handle volume, tracks, and calls without needing to reach for the phone.
• Best for a stabilizing fit during active movement → Sanpyl Swimming Headphones Underwater. Its behind-the-head band, two earplug sizes, and rotating shark-fin pieces are designed to help keep it secure.
• Best for the more clearly described call features → Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7. It specifies a noise-reduction microphone and call controls, though it does not provide measured microphone results.
• Best with microphone open ear headphones for gaming → Neither is a direct match. Both are listed as in-ear designs, and neither is described as open-ear or as a gaming headset. Mingzhe is the more reasonable one to consider for casual voice chat based on its microphone and laptop compatibility claims.
• Best sweat resistant open ear headphones for gaming → Neither matches that exact need. Mingzhe is described as sweatproof, but it is in-ear, not open-ear; Sanpyl is more specifically aimed at swimming and sports.
• Best memory foam ear cushions wireless headset for gaming → Neither matches that description. Sanpyl includes silicone earplugs, while Mingzhe is identified as in-ear; memory foam cushions are not specified for either.
My Verdict
I’d buy the Mingzhe Neckband Headphone IPX7 for general workouts, calls, and casual gaming because its stated up-to-13-hour runtime, laptop compatibility, and call controls make it the more versatile everyday option on paper. For gaming, I’d treat it as a general wireless headset rather than a purpose-built gaming model. I’d choose Sanpyl instead if swimming is the main reason for buying: its IPX8 rating and swimming-oriented fit are the clearest advantages in this comparison.
Which is better for swimming, Sanpyl or Mingzhe?
Sanpyl is the more clearly suited choice. It is rated IPX8 and is specifically presented for swimming, while Mingzhe is rated IPX7 and described for workouts and outdoor activities. Follow each product’s care instructions for water use.
Mingzhe lists up to 13 hours of talk and music. Sanpyl’s information gives a 180mAh battery capacity but no stated listening or call runtime, so there is no comparable duration to weigh against Mingzhe’s claim.
Neither is identified as a dedicated gaming headset, and neither sheet specifies gaming mode or latency performance. Mingzhe describes a noise-reduction microphone and compatibility with laptops, which makes it the more plausible option for casual voice chat, but those details don’t establish gaming-specific performance.
No such features are specified. Sanpyl includes silicone earplugs in two sizes, and Mingzhe is described as an in-ear neckband headset; the provided details don’t list memory foam cushions or an open-ear design.
