If you want a durable, classic black earbud for serious sports and long listening sessions, choose Sanpyl GD28; if you need a lightweight, stylish pink option that prioritizes comfort and visibility without sacrificing performance, choose Goshyda GD28. Both devices share the same core engineering, yet their color choices and subtle branding nuances guide them toward different lifestyles.
• Sanpyl GD28: Delivers reliable HIFI stereo sound with a sleek black finish, ideal for users who prefer a discreet, matte look during outdoor activities; however, the dark color may be less visible in low-light conditions compared to lighter options.
• Goshyda GD28: Offers the exact same 7-hour battery life and IPX4 sweat resistance but stands out with its vibrant pink hue, making it a perfect choice for those who want a bit of personality in their gear while maintaining an open-ear design for all-day comfort.
• Who is this for? The Sanpyl fits the runner or cyclist who wants a no-nonsense tool that blends into the background, while the Goshyda appeals to the user who values style as much as function, especially when looking for lightweight head phones for elderly individuals who might appreciate a brighter aesthetic.
The Sanpyl GD28 is engineered for the individual who treats their audio device as a functional extension of their daily routine rather than a fashion statement. Its primary draw lies in its robust build quality combined with a sophisticated, understated black appearance. When you are out on a trail, cycling through a busy city, or simply walking your dog, the black finish ensures the device remains unobtrusive. This is not about hiding the technology, but about presenting a clean, professional profile that doesn't distract from your activity.
From a technical standpoint, the Sanpyl GD28 shines with its Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a 13mm film loudspeaker that promises balanced three-frequency output. The "HIFI stereo surround sound" capability, supported by micro air holes designed to reduce noise, suggests a rich listening experience that doesn't compromise on clarity. For someone using these as best headphones for elderly family members, the open-ear design is particularly critical. Because the device does not sit inside the ear canal, it prevents the swelling or soreness often associated with traditional in-ear buds, allowing seniors to wear them for extended periods without discomfort.

However, there are trade-offs to consider. The single-earpiece design, while freeing up the other ear for environmental awareness, means you are relying on one channel for all audio. If you are looking for deep bass isolation or total immersion in a noisy environment, this open design might feel less isolating than over-ear models. Additionally, the black color, while stylish, offers less visibility in dimly lit areas compared to lighter alternatives. If you tend to lose things easily or work in low-light environments, the high contrast of the pink alternative might be a safer bet. But for the user who values durability, a secure fit, and a classic aesthetic, the Sanpyl GD28 is a compelling, practical choice.
The Goshyda GD28 brings the same impressive internal specifications to the table but wraps them in a distinctively different package: a soft, inviting pink finish. While the core technology—Bluetooth 5.3, the Jerry 6983 solution, and the 13mm driver—is identical to its black counterpart, the color choice fundamentally shifts the user experience. This is not just a cosmetic difference; it speaks to a desire for self-expression and visibility. For many, especially older adults or those who spend a lot of time outdoors, having a device that is easy to spot can reduce anxiety about losing it. The pink variant serves as a visual anchor, making it instantly recognizable on a park bench or in a gym bag.
In terms of usability, the Goshyda GD28 excels in the realm of comfort and safety. The ergonomic, clip-on design ensures that the device stays securely in place during vigorous movement, whether that is running, cycling, or gardening. The IPX4 water-proof rating means you don't have to worry about sudden rain showers or heavy sweating ruining the electronics. This makes it an excellent candidate for anyone seeking hi res headset for elderly companions who enjoy active lifestyles but need equipment that is gentle on the ears. The "not in the ear" philosophy is preserved here just as strictly as in the Sanpyl model, ensuring that users can maintain situational awareness while enjoying their music or podcasts.
The multifunction control scheme is another area where the Goshyda GD28 performs flawlessly. With simple short presses, long presses, and double clicks, users can manage calls, skip tracks, and answer incoming messages without fumbling for their phone. This ease of use is vital for anyone who might struggle with complex touchscreens or multiple buttons. The 7-hour working time is substantial enough for a full day of light usage, and the quick charging time of about one hour ensures minimal downtime. If you find yourself drawn to products that blend functionality with a touch of whimsy or warmth, the Goshyda GD28 is the version that will likely resonate more deeply with your personal style.
• Best for discretion and stealth: Choose the Sanpyl GD28. The black finish allows the earbud to disappear visually, making it perfect for users who prefer their tech to be invisible during social interactions or professional settings.
• Best for visibility and style: Choose the Goshyda GD28. The pink color acts as a high-contrast beacon, reducing the risk of misplacement and adding a cheerful element to a utility-focused device.
• Best for long-duration wear: Both models offer identical ergonomic designs that prevent ear swelling, so either choice works well for seniors needing lightweight head phones for elderly users who plan to wear them for hours.
• Best for active sports: Both feature IPX4 Water Proof ratings and secure clip-on fits, making them equally capable of handling sweat and rain during intense workouts.
• Best for battery reliability: With a standby time of about 800 hours and 7 hours of continuous working time, both units provide exceptional endurance, eliminating the need for frequent recharging during the week.
• Best for sound clarity: Both utilize HIFI stereo surround sound with real copper speakers and micro air holes for noise reduction, ensuring that neither product compromises on audio fidelity despite the open-ear design.
• Best for ease of use: The multifunction blind press design is identical on both, allowing for intuitive control of play, pause, calls, and track skipping without looking at the device.
• Best value proposition: Since the internal components and warranty (90 days) are identical, the decision comes down entirely to whether you prefer the classic, neutral appeal of the black Sanpyl or the vibrant, approachable look of the pink Goshyda.
If I were buying one of these for my own use, specifically keeping in mind the needs of an older relative who enjoys staying active but needs something comfortable and safe, I would lean toward the Goshyda GD28. The reason is simple: visibility and psychological comfort. The pink color isn't just a preference; it's a practical safety feature that makes the device easier to find if dropped, and the cheerful tone often lifts the mood of the user. However, if you are purchasing this for someone who prefers a more serious, utilitarian aesthetic or works in an environment where bright colors are discouraged, the Sanpyl GD28 is the superior choice. Ultimately, both are excellent tools that solve the same problems with equal efficiency, so your final decision should rest on which color palette makes you feel most confident using it every day.
Both the Sanpyl GD28 and Goshyda GD28 are designed with an open-ear structure that avoids blocking the ear canal, which helps users hear their surroundings while listening to audio. They feature HIFI stereo sound with balanced frequencies, making them suitable for seniors who want clear audio without the isolation of traditional earbuds.
Yes, both models utilize an ergonomic clip-on design intended to fit various ear shapes securely. The IPX4 water-proof rating also ensures they won't slip due to sweat, making them reliable for running, cycling, or general outdoor movement.
Charging takes roughly one hour via the included USB cable.
No, the sound quality is identical. Both use the same 13mm film loudspeaker, Bluetooth 5.3 chip, and real copper speaker components. The only differences are the exterior color and the brand name printed on the packaging.
