If you want immersive audio for high-intensity aquatic sports or gaming sessions in the pool, choose SANOTO Swimming Headphones; if you need a weighted, light-blocking solution to induce deep sleep and block distractions while gaming at night, choose LC-dolida Sleep Mask.
• SANOTO Swimming Headphones: Offers IPX8 waterproof durability and bone conduction drivers for underwater clarity but requires switching to MP3 mode when submerged and lacks active noise cancellation. Best for swimmers, surfers, and gamers who want to stay connected to their music without water damage.
• LC-dolida Sleep Mask: Features 3D ergonomic contours with weighted beads for pressure relief and total light blocking, but is bulky for active movement and designed strictly for stationary rest. Best for side sleepers, travelers, and anyone looking to gamify their wind-down routine with ambient sound.
• The Verdict: If your primary goal is performance in water or intense physical activity, the SANOTO unit is the only logical choice; if your priority is relaxation, darkness, and comfort during sedentary use, the LC-dolida mask wins hands down.
The SANOTO S710 is engineered specifically for those who refuse to let water stop their playlist. Its core strength lies in its IPX8 waterproof rating, which allows it to be submerged up to 10 meters for over two hours. This isn't just splash resistance; this is full submersion capability for serious swimming, surfing, or diving. The design utilizes a closed-back in-ear shape with skin-friendly silicone ear hooks that adapt to different head shapes. Crucially, these hooks are flexible enough to be worn comfortably under swimming caps and goggles, ensuring the device stays put even during vigorous strokes. Unlike open-ear bone conduction models that leak sound in noisy environments, the SANOTO uses anti-leak acoustics and a 360-degree closed sound cavity to deliver crisp, focused audio directly into the ear canal.
This product is ideal for the athlete or gamer who needs to maintain rhythm while training. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.4 ensures stable connectivity on land, allowing for a range of up to 10 meters. However, the physics of water changes things; once you go underwater, the 2.4 GHz Bluetooth frequency gets absorbed by water molecules. That is why the SANOTO features a built-in 8GB MP3 player capable of storing 1500 lossless tracks in formats like FLAC, WAV, and APE. You simply double-click the function key to switch modes. This dual-design approach means you get the convenience of wireless streaming before you dive in, and uninterrupted, high-fidelity playback once you are below the surface.
You should skip this product if you are looking for a general-purpose headphone for casual listening around the house or office. The form factor is specialized for sport, and the button controls are optimized for wet conditions rather than fine-tuned audio mixing. Furthermore, while it offers environmental noise cancellation through its sealed fit, it does not have active electronic noise cancelling technology. If you require silence or active cancellation to block out a crying baby or construction noise on a plane, this is not the tool for the job. It is also not suitable for sleeping on your stomach, as the in-ear design and hard plastic housing might cause discomfort against a pillow.

The LC-dolida Sleep Mask targets a completely different demographic: the person seeking sanctuary from the world. Its standout feature is the 3-in-1 design that combines a Bluetooth headset, a sleep eye mask, and a weighted relaxation tool. The mask incorporates 4.2 ounces of beads, providing a gentle, therapeutic pressure on the eyes that mimics the feeling of having warm hands over them. This weight is scientifically intended to relax nerves and reduce eye fatigue, helping users fall asleep faster. The material is memory foam with a soft, breathable exterior that feels plush against the skin, making it comfortable for extended wear throughout the night.
The 3D contour design is particularly notable for side sleepers. Traditional flat masks often press uncomfortably against the eyelids when you turn your head, causing "pressure points" that can wake you up. The LC-dolida mask is contoured to create empty space around the eyes, allowing them to move freely without any contact or squinting. This ergonomic shape ensures that the integrated speakers do not dig into your temples or ears, a common complaint with standard sleep headphones. Additionally, the mask blocks out 99% of light, creating a pitch-black environment essential for melatonin production and deep REM cycles. Whether you are in a bright hotel room, on a long-haul flight, or trying to nap in a busy household, this mask creates an instant private cocoon.
This product is perfect for the insomniac, the frequent traveler, or the parent who needs to game or listen to podcasts after the kids are asleep without waking anyone else. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip ensures fast pairing and stable audio transmission, supporting lossless music for up to 13 hours on a single charge. However, it is strictly a stationary device. The memory foam and internal electronics are not designed to withstand sweat, rain, or submersion. It is too bulky for running or swimming and would likely be damaged by moisture. If you try to use this for exercise, the weight of the mask and the lack of sweat-proofing will make it a poor choice compared to dedicated sport gear.
• Best for aquatic activities → SANOTO Swimming Headphones. With its IPX8 rating and ability to handle 10-meter depth, nothing comes close to this for pool workouts or ocean surfing.
• Best for light blocking → LC-dolida Sleep Mask. The 99% blackout design combined with the nose bridge seal offers a total dark experience that standard earbuds cannot match.
• Best for battery life → LC-dolida Sleep Mask. It offers up to 13 hours of continuous playtime, slightly edging out the SANOTO's 12-hour MP3 mode capacity.
• Best for active gaming on land → SANOTO Swimming Headphones. The secure ear hook fit prevents falling off during vigorous movement, whereas the mask is fixed to the face.
• Best for weighted relaxation → LC-dolida Sleep Mask. The 4.2oz bead weight provides a unique sensory input for anxiety relief that no other headphone offers.
• Best for storage capacity → SANOTO Swimming Headphones. The 8GB internal memory holds 1500 tracks, allowing you to swim without needing a phone nearby.
• Best for side sleepers → LC-dolida Sleep Mask. The 3D contour design prevents eye pressure, a critical feature for comfort when lying on your side.
• Best for versatility → SANOTO Swimming Headphones. It functions as both a waterproof MP3 player and a standard Bluetooth headphone, covering more use cases.
In my opinion, if you are torn between these two because you are looking for the best extra bass neckband headphones for gaming, neither is a perfect fit, but the SANOTO Swimming Headphones offer a more dynamic audio experience due to its closed-back driver design and superior isolation. However, for the specific intent of using audio to aid sleep or create a quiet zone for late-night gaming, the LC-dolida Sleep Mask is the superior choice. I would buy the LC-dolida Sleep Mask for myself because the combination of weighted pressure and total light blocking solves the problem of insomnia and external distractions simultaneously. It transforms a simple gaming session into a relaxing ritual, whereas the SANOTO is purely a functional tool for sport. If your goal is to stay awake and alert while playing games, the SANOTO is the rugged option; if your goal is to wind down and drift off while listening to your favorite tracks, the LC-dolida is the clear winner.
Yes, you can use the SANOTO headphones for gaming via Bluetooth on land. They support Bluetooth 5.4 for stable audio, but you must remember to switch to MP3 mode if you plan to take them into the water, as Bluetooth signals do not transmit through water.
The LC-dolida Sleep Mask is designed for side sleepers with its 3D contour that leaves space around the eyes. The weighted beads provide calming pressure, but the mask relies on being worn loosely enough to breathe; it is not a tight-fitting restraint, so it accommodates tossing and turning better than rigid headsets.
Both products offer excellent battery life, but the LC-dolida Sleep Mask edges ahead with up to 13 hours of service time compared to the SANOTO's 12 hours in MP3 mode (or 8 hours in Bluetooth mode). This makes the LC-dolida ideal for overnight use or marathon gaming sessions without needing a recharge.
The SANOTO Swimming Headphones come with replacement ear tips and are generally suitable for adults, though parents should supervise usage. The LC-dolida Sleep Mask is marketed as a unisex gift for men, women, and teenagers, but the weighted beads may be too heavy for very young children, so age appropriateness should be verified based on the child's sensitivity to weight.
