If you want deep bass bone conduction headphones for small ears that let you swim with confidence, choose SANOTO Swimming Headphones; if you need a stylish, portable vinyl experience that brings analog warmth to any room, choose Retrolife ® Record Player.
These two devices serve completely different worlds of audio consumption. One is a rugged tool designed for the pool and intense physical activity, while the other is a lifestyle centerpiece built for cozy listening sessions and retro aesthetics. There is no overlap in their primary functions, which makes the decision entirely about your immediate environment and how you intend to use sound.
• SANOTO Swimming Headphones: Delivers crisp, focused underwater sound with IPX8 waterproofing and 12-hour battery life, but requires switching to MP3 mode when submerged.
• Retrolife ® Record Player: Offers warm analog playback with a vintage suitcase design and multiple connectivity options, but relies on AC power and lacks true portability without an outlet.
• Best for active swimmers: Choose the SANOTO for its secure fit and ability to play music underwater without fear of damage.
• Best for home or travel listening: Choose the Retrolife for its instant setup, built-in speakers, and ability to play both vinyl and digital streams wirelessly.
The SANOTO S710 is engineered specifically for people who refuse to sacrifice music during water-based activities. Its most defining feature is the IPX8 waterproof rating, which allows the device to be submerged up to 10 meters for more than two hours. This isn't just splash-proof; it is built for serious diving, surfing, and lap swimming where sweat and rain are not the only concerns. The ear hooks are crafted from skin-friendly silicone, making them soft and flexible enough to adapt to various head shapes. This design ensures they stay put even during intense movements, and crucially, they work seamlessly with swimming caps, goggles, and earplugs.
For users with smaller ears, this model offers a distinct advantage through its in-ear design combined with a closed-back cavity. Unlike open-ear bone conduction models that sit loosely against the cheekbone, these sit inside the ear canal. This provides better isolation and allows for deep bass roll-offs that many swimmers crave. The inclusion of ten replacement ear tips suggests a commitment to finding the right seal for different ear sizes, ensuring comfort over long durations. You get up to 12 hours of continuous playback in MP3 mode, meaning you can take them on multi-day trips or extensive training sessions without worrying about charging.
However, there is a specific operational trade-off you must accept. Because Bluetooth frequencies are absorbed by water molecules, you cannot stream from your phone while underwater. You must switch to MP3 mode using the built-in 8GB memory, which holds up to 1500 lossless tracks. If your routine involves frequent transitions between land and water, you will need to double-click the function key to toggle modes. While the Bluetooth 5.4 connection offers a range of 10 meters on dry land, the underwater experience is strictly limited to the internal storage. This product is ideal for the dedicated swimmer who wants high-quality audio without wires getting tangled, but it is less suitable for casual listeners who prefer wireless streaming in every environment.

The Retrolife ST-R609 is a turntable for those who value atmosphere as much as audio quality. Its suitcase-style design, finished in sleek pink PU leather with retro metal hardware, transforms it into a piece of home decor rather than just a utility device. It appeals directly to anyone who wants to bring the warmth of analog vinyl into a modern space, whether that is a bedroom, a dormitory, or a living room. The belt-driven system with an anti-resonance design ensures stable playback, protecting your records from unwanted noise while delivering the rich, organic sound characteristic of older formats. It supports 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds, handling 7, 10, and 12-inch records with ease.
Portability is a key selling point here, though it comes with caveats. The sturdy carrying handle and lightweight build allow you to move the unit easily from room to room or pack it for a friend's gathering. However, unlike the SANOTO, this device is not truly "wire-free" in terms of power. It requires an AC adapter to operate, meaning you cannot use it in the pool or far from an outlet. What it does offer is exceptional versatility in connectivity. You can stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth up to 33 feet away, connect external speakers through RCA outputs, or plug in non-Bluetooth devices like CD players using the Line-In jack. The built-in auto-stop switch is a thoughtful addition that halts rotation automatically when a record ends, preventing wear on the stylus and the vinyl itself.
This player is perfect for first-time vinyl enthusiasts who want a hassle-free entry into the hobby. It arrives ready to play out of the box with dual built-in stereo speakers that provide room-filling volume, eliminating the need to purchase separate amplifiers or speakers. The smooth PU leather texture and vintage bronze accents make it a delightful visual companion for reading, relaxing after dinner, or sleeping. While it lacks the rugged durability needed for sports, its stability on four footpads minimizes vibration, ensuring that the delicate needle reads the grooves accurately. It is the choice for the listener who prioritizes the ritual of playing music and the tactile joy of vinyl over athletic performance.

In my opinion, the SANOTO Swimming Headphones are the superior choice for anyone seeking best true wireless earbuds for small ears who also engages in aquatic sports. The engineering required to make sound work underwater is complex, and SANOTO delivers a solution that feels secure and durable. The ability to store 1500 tracks locally removes the frustration of signal loss, and the variety of ear tips ensures a custom fit that prevents water intrusion. While the Retrolife is a beautiful machine for evening relaxation, the SANOTO solves a unique problem that few other products address effectively.
