I am a PhD candidate at Utrecht University. My research is focused on the philosophy of cosmology, and in particular on black holes. My recent research explores interpretations of black hole mass, the use and implications of idealizations and modelling in the context of black hole physics, and physical possibility in general relativity, specifically the physical reasonableness of wormholes.
As part of the COSMO-MASTER project, I critically reflect on the dichotomy between spacetime and matter in modern cosmology.Â
Previously, I worked on the philosophy of supersymmetry and (non-perturbative) quantum field theory.
I am also a member of the next generation Event Horizon Telescope's governance task force.
