Sanibel Seashell Industries

December 18 2022

As we are making great progress on clearing up and out the buildings, it is taking a little longer then we had hoped. At this point the new website will be delayed for a little while until we are all done the remediation on the buildings and can take the proper time to clean up the seashells.

Welcome back to our valued customers!

We’d like to sincerely thank you for your patience as we are remediating the stores after Hurricane Ian. The storm left over five feet of water and debris in the buildings, causing substantial damage. We have been working diligently on cleaning and organizing our inventory in preparation of launching our newly improved and expanded website.

As a prominent section of the new website, we will be featuring individual and bulk shells at heavily discounted prices. Our specials will offer one of a kind deals that will be below market rates, and on a first come, first serve basis. Be sure to check back regularly to view our “Hurricane Clearance” flash sales!

In addition, we will be adding photos and videos to keep you all up to date on our progress. Once again, thank you for your continued support, understanding, and most especially the kind notes. We appreciate you all! Please stay tuned to this site and join our mailing list to be notified when items become available.

Hurricane Ian made landfall near Sanibel Island as a Category 4 storm. Most of the island has suffered significant damage including Sanibel Seashell Industries. The road back will be long but we are committed to rebuilding and look forward to the day we can welcome visitors back into our retail store at 1544 Periwinkle Way. Right now we are working to expand our virtual storefront on seashells.com and make the most popular shells available online this holiday season.

Thanks to all of our customers for your patronage and support over the 30+ years we have been part of the Sanibel Island experience. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
