RFE USCIS: National Interest Waiver Teleseminar Results and Lessons learned

Scope of Project:

Conduct a teleseminar to draw individuals needing guidance in applying for the National Interest Waiver. (Green Card-EB2). The seminar took place August 21, 2018

Target Audience:

Postdoc's, Master's students, Ph.D Students who want to become permanent US residents (Research Scholars, Engineers, Scientists in Academia & Industry)

Timeline:

8/6/18 Eventbrite campaign was published

8/7/18 769 subscribers received a Mailchimp Email campaign

8/21/18 XXX Attendees registered through Eventbrite

8/21/18 XXX Participated on the call via Freeconferencecall.com

8/21/18 XXX Subscribers received people a Follow-up Mailchimp Email campaign

8/21/18 XXX new subscribers were added to the existing Mailchimp subscribers

Observations:

Eventbrite was a highly productive avenue for promoting this type of event
Entering a optional question in Eventbrite yielded some key information ie: Cheeky Scientist Facebook page
Freeconferncecall was a good avenue for this type of event

Possible Follow-up items:

Create and Maintain Calendly to handle scheduling requests
Beef up Facebook page for audience engagement and awareness
Install an Event button on the website
Add an Email sign-up form on the website
Send the people a survey who didn't sign up to glean information about why not
Place the people who spoke with Mark on a "watch" list to send out a touch-base Email down the road
Do further research into the target audience
Create a funnel chart of prospective customers progression towards becoming a client
Research competitors Websites/Facebook pages
Reach out to Universities to see if they'd allow Mark/Ram to come in for a presentation or a dedicated teleseminar to their students
