I read from ABC 7 that a couple from San Francisco, Diane Thao and Sal Mireles, are trapped in Peru. They went to the country last week to visit Machu Picchu, one of the world's wonders. But while they were on their trip, a massive country-wide civil unrest broke over the impeachment of the former president, Pedro Castillo. This impeachment vote was followed by authorities immediately arresting him. So now, civil unrest in the country led to limited transportation and shutdown.
