I am an economist with an MSc in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), specializing in environmental economics and public policy. My research focuses on the design and evaluation of climate and environmental policies in developing and emerging economies, with particular attention to carbon pricing, land-use change, deforestation, and the distributional effects of fiscal reforms.
My master’s thesis combines structural demand estimation with input–output analysis to evaluate the emissions and welfare impacts of Brazil’s recent tax reform. A paper based on this research is currently under revise-and-resubmit at the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
I am interested in climate policy design, applied microeconometrics, and the role of institutions and enforcement in shaping environmental outcomes.
