What is Samsung Wireless Power Share?
Samsung Wireless Power Share is a reverse wireless charging feature that allows you to use your Galaxy phone as a wireless charger for other devices. This means you can charge your earbuds, smartwatch, or even another phone by simply placing them on the back of your Galaxy phone. This can be handy when you don't have access to a power outlet or a charger, or when you want to help out a friend who has a low battery.
Wireless Power Share works with any device that supports Qi wireless charging, which is the most common standard for wireless charging. However, the charging speed and efficiency may vary depending on the device and its alignment with the phone. Wireless Power Share can output up to 4.5W of power, which is not very fast compared to some wired or wireless chargers. Therefore, it is best suited for topping up your accessories or emergency situations.
How to use Samsung Wireless Power Share?
Using Samsung Wireless Power Share is easy and straightforward. Here are the steps to follow:
Open Settings on your Galaxy phone.
Scroll down and select Battery and device care.
Tap Battery.
Select Wireless power sharing.
Enable the option by sliding the toggle.
Keep your Galaxy phone face down on a flat surface.
Place the device you want to charge in the center of the phone's back. Make sure the charging coils of both devices are aligned for optimal charging.
The charging process will start automatically when the devices are correctly placed. You will hear a sound and see an animation on the phone's screen indicating that Wireless Power Share is active.
To stop Wireless Power Share, simply remove the device from the phone's back or disable the option from Settings.
Note that Wireless Power Share will automatically stop when your phone's battery level drops below a certain threshold (usually 30%). You can also adjust the battery limit in Settings > Battery > Wireless power sharing > Battery limit. Additionally, you can charge both your phone and another device at the same time by connecting your phone to a wired charger and using Wireless Power Share on its back.
