Remotes are not sold on Samsung.com; they are instead available on our parts website, samsungparts.com. There are many models of remotes (all with slight variations), but you can find the exact remote your TV/projector came with by searching for your model number and then scrolling through the list until you see the remote.

Remotes can vary in price for different models; however, our IR remotes work with all of our TVs and projectors. In other words, you can pick any IR remote you like and it will work, even if your model isn't listed as compatible with that remote.

Because of this, we recommend BN59-01301A as a replacement remote. This is one of the newer and cheaper models (around 15 dollars on samsungparts.com) and offers basic functionality, if that's all you need.

Most universal remotes will work with your Samsung TV or projector as well, such as those found on Amazon or possibly even the remote that was included with your cable or satellite box. If you buy a universal remote, make sure the remote says it is compatible with Samsung before you buy it.

If you've lost your remote or haven't set this up yet, your Samsung TV or projector will ask permission for your Galaxy phone to connect. You can then use the TV Controller button (sometimes called a jog controller) on the back of your TV to grant the permission. Please see your user manual for specific instructions if you're unsure.

The Samsung SmartThings app lets you control your TV or projector no matter where you are. Just connect your phone, navigate to SmartThings, and then select your device from the list of available devices. From there, you can use the remote control features.

There are also many third-party remote control apps available from the Google Play and iTunes stores. Peel and SURE are are two popular options, and they're both available for Android and iOS.

Do you have an older Samsung TV at home? Did you know that you can use the remote from ANY Samsung TV to perform at least a few functions. Even if the remote you are missing is a Smart Remote, an older IR remote from a Samsung TV should be able perform most of the following functions:

Universal remotes are generally used to control multiple devices and will work on most major TVs and home electronics. You can buy a universal remote to control your Samsung TV or projector, though you may already own one if you have a cable or satellite set top box, Roku player, Fire TV, or a game console remote.

The universal remote needs to be programmed to control your Samsung device with a code. Most of the time these codes are preprogrammed, but if the remote is not working, you'll need to obtain additional codes for Samsung from the remote's manufacturer.

Even if you don't currently have a remote, you can turn on the TV, adjust the volume, change the channel, and more right on the TV itself. TVs from 2019 and later use a single button that, when pressed, displays on the TV screen and cycles through the available functions each time you press it. To use a function, press and hold the button.

Not ready to throw the old one out just yet? Think it still has some life left in it? If you still have your remote but it's not working, see our troubleshooting guide for steps to get it working again.

1 Button functions are subject to change without notice. Remote color and design may vary by model.

2 Auto recognition between mobile phone and TV may vary depending on the mobile device. For mobile devices that do not support auto recognition, open the SmartThings app on your mobile to begin setup. A Samsung account is required to set up TV via mobile. Wi-Fi connection on your mobile is required to share network information with your TV.

* Smart service and GUI may vary by model and region. Agreement of the Smart Hub Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy is required before use. Some services or apps require a subscription or a one-time purchase to be used. Actual product and remote control may vary from images shown. Images are simulated and for illustration purposes only. I cannot connect my smart remote to my TV (UN65MU6300). The on/off button will power the TV, but when I press any button the TV says "Connecting to the keyboard..." and then says it failed, and asks me to press the pairing button on the keyboard.

My remote won't connect to the TV. I've done the trick by holding the two buttons to repair it to the TV, which would work, but only for the day. It's been about a week of constantly having to do that, but now it won't connect at all. Suggestions??

This is really not acceptable solution. Having to do this every time you watch TV is not good. This sometimes happens to me multiple times per day. My samsung experience with these expensive TVs is totally ruined

Had the same problem for a year on a UN55MU6300 model. Tried everything as already discussed. Only display I got was "pairing to keyboard", no longer would I get "remote paired". Got me thinking, if some way a keyboard is used, then why can't a USB port above be connected to a standard keyboard to over ride the Smart Hub? I did just that. Pressed keys on keyboard till TV responded. Used arrow keys and enter to navigate to Source/General/ Settings/Set up. After getting used to keyboard navigation with TV and WiFi off, I found the inputs and set up my Dish TV for which the Dish remote which is always used anyway. Worked like a charm. I left the keyboard connected to the TV and just stowed in back, out of site. Never had to use again, but just in case.

When I got my 43" Samsung Smart TV (UE43TU7100KXXU) back in October, the set-up was a breeze - it even detected my Xbox One console on HDMI1 and allowed me to control the Xbox menu functions with my Samsung remote control, something which I found very handy.

However, despite not changing anything, no software updates or anything of that kind, it just randomly stopped working. This has infuriated me to the point of doing a factory reset of the TV, which I did this evening. But the remote still does not work on the Xbox's menus and I am at a loss. I'd really like this function to work again, and I can't see anything on the TV settings or Xbox settings side in order to restore it.

I have been doing some reading about this problem I'm having (Xbox no longer able to be controlled by the Samsung TV remote) and I found the Universal Remote screen on my TVs menu, but having tried doing what the YouTube videos explain, I *still* cannot get my TV to work as it did when I first bought it. I don't think it needs repairing or anything like that, it's obviously just a setup issue, but I did yet another factory reset of my TV last night and tried to set up from scratch, and still can't get the Xbox to recognise my TV remote. It's frustrating because I can't seem to find or see any reason why it wouldn't work like it used to.

Hi, just been surfing the various forums and saw this post which resonates as I have similar problem with my smart remote which, after literally years of working without issue has suddenly decided to stop 'talking' to my BT set top box (still works with PS and Firestick though) . Infuriating isn't the word and, despite trying everything in the book (as per yourself), there seems to be solution to this issue. Really strange and frustrating....

Every day or two my remote disconnects from my TV. Even pressing the return and forward keys it doesn't connect. I have to turn TV off unplug it, plug it in turn it on then it reconnects to the remote. I expected better on a high end TV.

I'm having the exact same problem, with the same TV model and software version. The remote has a small red LED that is blinking when I attempt to use buttons, but only the remote's power button works. All other buttons are ignored. I'm hoping for a software fix...

Samsung sent me a new remote, which did exactly the same thing. I prefer a Logitech universal remote, so I forgot about it. There was new tv firmware release a month or two ago, and I checked the Samsung remotes and they worked correctly again. So try updating firmware

Tried to update and my set is up to date. so doesn't fix the problem still disconnects for no reason. The only way I have been able to work around it is turn off TV, pull battery out count to 10 put battery back in, turn on TV remote normallly works for a while. Samsung needs to fix this problem.

1 Considering most TVs are used for seven years and an AA battery for their remote controls are replaced once in a year, the number of discarded batteries for a TV will be 14 every seven years. This means charging and using SolarCell Remote for seven years reduces carbon emissions by one third compared to using AA batteries.

If you are successfully able to to add this second remote, go through the steps again to re-associate the Samsung One remote. Stay greater than 3 feet away or sit where you would normally be sitting to watch TV.

I have the same problem. After update I may only use the Samung one remote from a short ditstance. I have tried everything in this thread. I have had the Playbar and the Samsung tv for many years and it has all been wokring fine until now. Are there anything new regarding a solution to this?

Our samsung remote was working perfectly fine with our CCwGTV but we used the CC with a different tv for a week now returning to our Samsung TV suddenly the remote doesnt do anything on the CC any more. The chromecast remote is working fine but the TV remote doesnt do anything.. please help.

After I came up with this widget I realized that is not comfortable to have a big widget always occupying my dashboard, so credits to Yannick ( See this post ) I tried to make a nested custom widget to launch the remote on a modal window.

However, in the case of BYOD policies, IT admins may still have the ability to remotely wipe devices if employees are required to install an EMM/MDM agent or antimalware tools on their phone or tablet. Organizations should spell this out clearly in their BYOD policy, which employees sign before gaining access to corporate systems on their personal devices. ff782bc1db
