I am a political scientist who is interested in researching civil society, social activism and state power. My area of focus is on the Greater China region, including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at Lingnan University.
My academic articles have been published in the China Perspectives, Journal of Contemporary China, China Information, Political Studies, Social Movement Studies, Twenty-First Century. I have also published commentaries in the ChinaFile, Mingpao, The Initium, Stand News, and The Diplomat.
My ongoing research include:
- Political participation and activism in Hong Kong
- NGOs and civil society in China
- Food politics in Taiwan
