Hi! I'm Saminur Islam, a 4th year Ph.D. candiate in computer science at North Carolina State University working in the ArgLab with Dr. Collin Lynch. where I develop AI- driven educational systems to understand students coding behaviors and provide intelligent, data-driven feedback. My research spans educational data mining, anomaly detection, and applied machine learning, with recent work including a research internship at AT&T Labs on advanced methods for strengthening the resiliency of E911 services. Previously, I earned my MS in computer science at West Virginia University under the supervision of Dr. Donald Adjeroh where  I have worked on a Drug-Drug Interaction prediction problem using deep learning techniques. Prior to that, I worked for several companies specializing in the garment industry, e-governments, and financial data analytics. My research focuses on developing intelligent educational systems that leverage data mining and graph analysis to support students and educators, with the goal of creating more intuitive and impactful learning technologies.
