I am the George J. and Alice D. Fiedler Distinguished Chair Professor & Head in the Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Kansas State University (K-State).

Before joining K-State, I was a faculty member at Mississippi State University, where I served as department head and concurrently held the James W. Bagley Chair in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2020-2024). Before that, I served as Cluster Lead (2016-2020) for Computer Systems Research at the National Science Foundation and the Walter B. Booth Professor at North Dakota State University, where I started my career in 2008. 

My studies of computer systems have appeared in 475+ publications (including nine books) and have been cited over 28,000 times (h-index of 79). 

I have conducted these studies with an outstanding team of (now all graduated) advisees (3 postdocs, 17 PhD, and 12 MS), supported by grants/contracts totaling $15.3M+ from NSF, DHS, FAA, DOE, State Department, Foundations, and Industries.

Currently advising: 4 PhD students.
