Samar Abou-Jaoude est une compositrice diplômée du Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Grenoble (2023, Diplôme des Études Musicales en Composition), de l'Université Grenoble Alpes (2020, Licence de Musicologie), et de Maynooth University (Irlande, 2021, Master de Composition).

Depuis l'obtention de son Master en Composition, elle collabore avec de nombreux interprètes tels que le Quatuor Colibri, le Chœur Universitaire de Grenoble, le chef d'orchestre et de chœur Nicolás Pérez Marchal, le harpiste Emmanuel Rivera Ángel...
Elle participe à plusieurs résidences, dont une au Théâtre Sainte Marie d'en Bas (Grenoble) et une à Saoû, en collaboration avec l'orchestre de chambre de la Drôme.
Dans le cadre du festival Détours de Babel, elle participe au projet Gam'lov'vibes aux côtés des compositeurs Roberto Negro et Nadia Ratsimandresy, et des interprètes Leïla Martial et Jérémie Abt.
Elle enseigne aujourd'hui la formation musicale au Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Grenoble, en parallèle de son activité de compositrice.

She graduated from Grenoble Regional Conservatory in 2023 (Diplôme des études musicales in composition), Université Grenoble Alpes in 2020 (Bachelor degree in musicology) and National university of Ireland Maynooth in 2021 (Master degree in composition).
Samar Abou-Jaoude is a French composer and music teacher. She graduated from Grenoble Regional Conservatory in 2023 (Diplôme des études musicales in composition), Université Grenoble Alpes in 2020 (Bachelor degree in musicology) and National university of Ireland Maynooth in 2021 (Master degree in composition).
Since then, she has been working in many areas related to music, such as teaching music
theory in conservatories; she is currently holding a full-time position at Grenoble Regional
Conservatory, since September 2023. She also has experience in teaching composition (2023-2025)
and percussion (2021-2022). She had the opportunity to teach masterclasses in composition and
music engraving at Meylan Maison de la Musique, France (2023), and to be an assistant teacher at
the composition summer school for young composers Inventer pour apprendre (Saoû, France, July
2024).
In addition to her full-time work as a teacher, she completed a number of artistic projects;
both educational and professional. As a composer, she collaborated with many professional
ensembles and performers such as the Colibri string quartet, the Drôme Chamber Orchestra, the
Chœur Universitaire de Grenoble, conductor Nicolás Pérez Marchal and harpist Emmanuel Rivera Angel. Her music has been
performed in France, Ireland and Colombia.
She participated in composition competitions and was among selected candidates several
times; Musique en courts film scoring competition in 2018 and 2020 in Paris, RIT-Infinity
composition competition for timpani in 2025 in Lyon, and Les chantiers – Détours de Babel call for
musical projects in 2024, which resulted in a residency and the creation of a music and shadow
theater show (Grenoble).
She received commissions, has been an artist in residence several times, and participated
twice in the international world music festival Détours de Babel . Her most recent commissioned
project – Gam’lov’vibes 2024-2025 – involved acclaimed performers Leïla Martial (vocalist) and
Jérémie Abt (percussionist), alongside renowned composers Roberto Negro and Nadia
Ratsimandresy.
