1. Introduction
Welcome to Sam4G Settings. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use our mobile application.
Core Principle: This application operates completely locally between your phone and your MiFi/Router device. We do not collect, store, or send any personal data to remote external servers.
2. Permissions and How We Use Them
Our application requires specific permissions to provide its core functionality. We use these permissions strictly locally:
VpnService (VPN Permission): Our app uses Android's VpnService to provide a Local Firewall feature. This allows users block specific apps from accessing the internet to save their router's data quota.
Disclaimer: The VPN operates entirely locally on the device. It does NOT route your traffic to any remote servers, it does NOT inspect your web traffic, and it does NOT collect or log your browsing history.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access): Used to calculate the data consumed by installed apps on your phone. This helps you monitor your data limits. This data is processed locally and is never shared.
Microphone / RECORD_AUDIO: Used solely for the "Voice Assistant" feature to execute router commands via voice. Audio processing is handled locally or via system default STT engines. We do not record or save your conversations.
Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Required by Android OS to retrieve the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) you are currently connected to. We do not track your physical location.
Biometrics: Used for local app lock security (Fingerprint/Face unlock). Biometric data never leaves your device.
3. Third-Party Services
We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services.
4. Terms of Use
By using this application, you agree that it is a tool to manage your personal router. You agree not to use the app to perform any illegal activities, reverse engineering, or network abuse.
