Sam Olesker-Taylor
I am a Research Scientist at Graphcore, having joined in May 2025.
Prior to that, I was in academia for nine years, during which time I worked with many great people.
I was an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Statistics Department at Warwick (2022–25). My research focused on probability, particularly mixing times of Markov chains and their application, eg, to randomised algorithms.
I had the pleasure of being supervised by Alexandre Stauffer for my postdoc at Bath (2020–22) and by Perla Sousi for my PhD at Cambridge (2017–20).
All my papers can be found on arXiv or via Google Scholar; see also the Research/Academia page.
For academic matters, I can be contacted at oleskertaylor.sam@gmail.com.
