“Education begins with the mind, but its true purpose is
to touch the heart.”
Dear Students, Parents and Teachers,
In our journey through education, we teach children to read, question, create and discover. Yet, one of the most important lessons lies beyond textbooks—the ability to understand another person’s feelings and see the world through their eyes. This is empathy.
Empathy teaches us to listen before we judge, to replace indifference with compassion, and to recognise that every individual carries a story that may not always be visible. It reminds us that a kind word, a helping hand or simply being there for someone can make a lasting difference.
As educators, our responsibility is not merely to nurture capable learners, but to shape compassionate human beings—young minds that are confident and curious, yet sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
As we look forward to our Annual Day, let us celebrate this spirit of togetherness. Annual Day is not simply a showcase of talent; it is a celebration of perseverance, teamwork and shared effort. Behind every performance are countless hours of practice, encouragement, patience and determination.
To our students, I say: step onto the stage with confidence, but leave room in your hearts for one another. Celebrate every performance, appreciate every effort and remember that every contribution matters. Success is not only about standing in the spotlight; it is also about helping someone else find theirs.
May this Annual Day remind us that the most beautiful celebrations are those in which every child feels valued, every effort is appreciated, and every success is shared.
Let us continue to nurture minds that think, hands that create, voices that inspire and hearts that understand. For when knowledge illuminates the mind and empathy illuminates the heart, education becomes truly transformative.
Blessings!
Dr. Sunita Jakhar

What We Do Not See
Between the bell and the next lesson,
a hundred little worlds pass by—
a pencil borrowed, a glance withdrawn,
a smile that arrives a second late.
Somewhere, a child folds a worry
into the corner of a notebook page,
while another wears laughter
like a bright badge over a difficult morning.
We rarely know the weight
inside the bags people carry;
some burdens have no timetable,
no homework, no name.
Empathy is noticing—
the chair that stays empty,
the voice that grows smaller,
the hand that hesitates before rising.
It is not borrowing another's eyes,
but learning to look twice—
past the hurried word, the unfinished task,
the face we thought we understood.
Perhaps kindness begins
not with having the right words,
but with making enough space
for someone else's story to enter ours.
And perhaps that is how
a school becomes more than a place to learn—
when no one has to disappear
to feel that they belong.
Because empathy is the beautiful art of saying, without words: “I may not have lived your story, but I am willing to understand.”

Sleep, my dear child,
Sleep and dream wild.
I will put you to bed,
So that you rest your little head.
Life is full of work and joy,
Sleep is for every girl and boy.
Sleep, my dear child,
Sleep and dream wild.
Clouds look like pie,
The birds have come to say goodbye.
The moon is shining soft and bright,
I’ll hold you throughout the night.
Sleep, my dear child,
Sleep and dream wild.
Caterpillars tuck into leaves,
Tailorbirds nest among the trees.
Everyone must rest,
Sleep and dream your best.
Sleep, my dear child,
Sleep and dream wild.

O the beauty, the beauty of nature,
The trees and the rivers are like our mother.
It is the creation that doesn’t have our mould,
Forever wild, majestic and bold.
O the beauty, the beauty of friendship,
It’s a treasure of life that you shall not skip.
True friends navigate life together,
Like stars that stay forever.
O the beauty, the beauty of wisdom,
It is the key to true freedom.
It gives us a sense of truth and insight,
Awakening a light in our minds.
O the beauty, the beauty of life,
We all shall cherish the joy of beauty,
And we all shall do it heartily.
