Since you last saw them they have played all over the place. Including absolutely rocking the National Jazz Festival in Tauranga.
We know - we were there!

You'd better start polishing your dance shoes...

Celebrate Cuba’s beautiful rhythms with ten international artists from Cuba, Chile, Peru, England and Aotearoa. Performing Salsa, Timba, Rumba, Son, Cha-cha-cha, Mambo, Afro-Cuban Jazz, and Bolero.

Ke lo Ke features some of New Zealand’s finest Latin and jazz musicians who traverse different eras and genres of Cuban music and dance, honouring its’ roots in Afro-Cuban culture and the music of Cuba’s numerous Grammy award-winning artists. Ke lo Ke draws inspiration from its’ musical heroes: Irakere and its phenomenal Afro-Jazz tracks, Chekere Que Son and Xiomara mayoral; and Buena Vista Social Club’s seductive Son tune, El Cuarto de Tula, among others.

Ke lo Ke also celebrates contemporary Cuban Salsa tunes, such as Alexander Abreu and Habana De Primera’s La Bailarina and Cuando el Rio Suena; Guajiro artist Polo Montañez’s Un Montón De Estrellas’; and Mexican-American Poncho Sanchez’s El Sabrosón.
