2023 Summer Camp Scholarship Application

The Saline Music Boosters are pleased to offer 2023 Summer Camp Scholarships to support summer experiences that will enrich and expand the music education of Saline Area Schools Band, Choir and Orchestra students presently in Grades 5-11.

In recent years, students have used camp scholarships toward their fees at many programs, including Blue Lake, Interlochen, MASTA, Saline Community Education Summer Band or Orchestra, Camp A Cappella, Summer Strings Orchestra, Broadway Artist’s Alliance College Workshop, Lutheran Summer Music at Valparaiso University,  NYU Summer Vocal Intensive, Westminster Vocal Intensive, Boston Conservatory/Berklee Summer Vocal Performance Program and similar camps.

Please note: private lessons, Saline Fiddlers and Marching Band summer camps are not eligible for this scholarship.

Student applicants must be currently enrolled in the Saline Music Program and in good standing.  Limit one scholarship per student per year.

The amount of the scholarship is dependent on the number of applications received and total scholarships awarded.  Selected applicants will be recognized in April, May and June at SAS Music Concerts.

Scholarship recipients will be asked to provide a receipt for camp deposit payment in early May (or it may be provided in this form if the student has already registered for a camp/program). Additional instructions on how to receive the scholarship funds will be included in award notifications.

Deadline to submit applications for summer 2023 scholarships is Friday April 14, 2023.

We strive to provide communication and information, in conjunction with the directors of the music department, to the families, supporters and community about events and activities of the Saline Music Department.

What we've done

The Saline Music Boosters were established as a non-profit organization supporting Saline Area Schools Band, Choir and Orchestra programs in 2014.

In the years that followed, we have been able to supplement Director funds, uniforms, bussing, scholarships, guest conductors and more so that together, with the Saline Area Schools Music Directors, we can enhance our music programs experiences for all students.
